Inquiry Project – 4

This week I started planning for my next dinner and a movie. This one will require a bit more effort so I was not able to get it done this past weekend and have a plan to do it next weekend. However, I did spend some time doing research and planning the meals that I will make. This week the theme would be Cinderella.

The food I will be making are as follows:

  • Thai Coconut Pumpkin Soup in a bread bowl (Inspired by the carriage from Cinderella)
  • Honey Butter Skillet Corn
  • Lemon Thyme Cake
  • A cheese board

The most difficult part of the process will be making bread that I can use for bread bowls. I’ve made buns before, but they came out a little dense. I’ve never made any sort of loaf so it will be an interesting experience. I’ve been checking out some youtube videos to prep before I make my attempt.

My plan is to make a bit of a day of it (Since there are a number of sequels and the Live Action that I can also watch). I would do the cheese board for the first movie, soup and side for the second, and then the Thyme cake for the third (four films seems like a lot for one day so I might have to watch the Live Action another time). My plan would be to make the bread and maybe the cake on Saturday, and then everything else the day of (maybe even in between films for the soup and corn.)
